Musical Sand Blocks Success

My Project

My students are very interested in music. We learn all about the beat, rhythm, musical instruments, composers, performance, careers in music and much, much more! I am requesting sand blocks for my youngest students to make percussion scratching sounds, some pool noodles to cut to add to the scratching sounds, copy paper for my lessons, and musical stickers for rewards for a great class period.

Research has found that learning music facilitates learning other subjects and enhances skills that children inevitably use in other areas.

The art of practice and perfection from music class allows students to develop skills in other classes, such as math, science, English and more.

Many of my students receive special education services and they mean the world to me. I am blessed to teach them hands-on music skills and these tools will help them connect to music in a very special way.
