Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our class is made up of twenty-four, diverse, energetic and bright kindergartners! My students come to school eager to learn and explore new things.
They range in their learning needs, their learning styles and their strengths.
They all are very active learners who enjoy hands-on experiences. The diversity in our class brings us closer together, providing us with the opportunity to teach and learn from one another. It is a blessing to be among students that are so enthusiastic, caring and eager to learn each and everyday.
My Project
This bluetooth speaker will allow me to incorporate music into our classroom every day. Music is such a powerful way to teach social skills, academic concepts and information during the school day. I plan on downloading many songs that can be played on this speaker to incorporate music into my lessons everyday. Teaching my students various songs is a great way to build confidence, teach educational concepts and build fluency! We will listen to songs such as the Money Song, Musical Math and counting to 100 by Heidi Butkus. These songs will help my students become financially literate as they learn to identify and count money in kindergarten.
Please help me make my kinder classroom a fun, musical wonderland.
Music is a great way to keep them engaged and excited about learning. Please consider supporting our project!
