My Project

What are methods books? They are musical workbooks that help young musicians develop their musical skills by moving sequentially through a series of exercises, etudes, and drills. Our band students use a specific methods book Foundations for Superior Performance in their daily rehearsals to develop tone quality and technique.

Because the student population comes from low-income homes they are often unable to purchase their specific book for their instruments.

This project is geared towards compiling a class set for students to use which will lessen the financial burden that often comes with participating in band.
