Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school has a high rate of low socioeconomic students.
The instrumental music students at my school in Santa Ana, California are hard-working and have a great desire to excel in music as well as in all academic areas.
They have a strong sense of community and look out for each other to make sure that everyone is successful.
My Project
Thanks to this DISNEYLAND CREATE grant, students will be able to play their instruments properly without hurting themselves. They will have violin and viola shoulder rests so their shoulders don't hurt when the students play their instruments. The cello and bass players will have endpin stoppers so their instruments won't slide on the stage when they are playing them. Also, the clarinetists will have reeds to play their instruments.
This project is important because is provides important and needed materials for student success.
It will help them build the correct habits for the future in music. Without this, they will form bad habits. The Disneyland Create grant not only shows Disney's support of teachers and students in the community, but also of music and the arts.
