This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are hardworking, eager students ready to take on any challenge I throw at them.
Most of my students come from low poverty households and most of them come from single parent homes.
The majority of my students are of a minority race. That all being said, they come to class everyday with many challenges, but love the opportunity to learn an instrument that they would have no other chance of learning if it wasn't for their opportunity at school.
My Project
My students need music to play, such as Intermezzo: From Cavalleria Rusticana, The Pink Panther, and Scooby-doo, Where Are You? From having new music, students will improve their note reading abilities and improve their technical abilities. The students will be able to perform their new music and feel proud of their accomplishment. The students will also get to share their ability with others in performances.
Our school has a limited budget and resources to purchase music to help teach the students new techniques.
New music and materials will help them grow as musicians and help provide them with a way of gaining more knowledge of their instruments.
