My students need an iPad and protective case in order to create, respond, connect, and perform MUSIC using the most up to date technology both in our music class and share with our audience of stakeholders.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative Kindergarten through 5th grade musicians looking for innovative ways of thinking and performing tasks in order to create, respond, connect, and perform in MUSIC. Growing up in a metro area, they are exposed to many new ideas and ways of learning. Our school is also instituting the SAMR model which promotes digital learning experiences and the integration of technology in order to maximize student success.
This funding would allow them to experience music and engage the world in a whole new way!
My Project
Our students should be given every opportunity to prepare them for the real world. Current technology, including the use of the Apple iPad in the classroom, is promoting music making and sharing in whole new ways. There are so many apps and other educational sharing platforms that students have the chance to take advantage of that allow them to have a real world audience. I plan to teach the students how to take advantage of these apps and sharing platforms.
With your help, students will be able to use this iPad in order to create, connect, respond to music as well as share performances with our school community and abroad.
