My students have trouble memorizing stand music and would like to play more tunes. Unfortunately, we currently have to memorize our music to play it. We hope to expand our musical repertoire with the help of these folders.
My students are hardworking individuals who love music.
For some, their instrument is their only release. We also have some very talented young musicians. They practice outside of class and even form their own ensembles outside of school. My student love music.
Our school is a small rural school with the budget that accompanies it. We make do with what we have. My administration are very supportive of the music program and in turn, our students benefit from that. Our community also loves our band at football games, basketball games, and parades.
My Project
I know our students will be able to learn more music because they will have the confidence of music in front of them. We will use them at every pep band performance we have including football games, pep rallies, basketball games, and other performances.
Having a larger repertoire also builds musicianship as they are not getting bored with the same 2 or 3 songs. With these folios, we will be able to play more that 5 songs plus our fight song and Star Spangled Banner.
Our snare accessories are non-existent. There are many pieces of music that require high hat and cymbals. We don't have the people to carry them by hand. This clip will allow us to attach them directly to the snare and allow us to play those cool rock beats.
I know our confidence will shoot through the roof.
Playing the same tunes is boring and can lead to complacency. These folios and snare clip will help alleviate those problems.
The more music we learn means the more musicianship skills we build. These supplies will help us build those skills.
