This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is filled with kindergarten students who come from varied educational backgrounds. Some have attended preschool, a few have attended transitional kindergarten and the majority have never been to school.

All the children are excited about being kindergartners!

They know that kindergarten is a special place and I strive to create a kindergarten program that will meet their needs. Although I have been doing this for over twenty-five years, each new year is a challenge and an opportunity to have my best year yet!

My Project

The kindergarten children are excited when they see me take the iPad come out of the cupboard because they know that they will be seeing or hearing something new!

A blue tooth speaker will amplify the sounds coming from the iPad Pro.Although the iPad Pro has a speaker, it is not loud enough for all the children to hear when they are on the carpet.

Children will enjoy movement activities to music as well as explore sounds that animals make. We most recently tried identifying the sounds that different musical instruments made but it was challenging for them to hear.
