My Students

My students are excited and enthusiastic to learn! The classes are small and tight knit where students care about each other and enjoy learning together. They enjoy helping each other out when possible!

We’d love to play barred instruments more.

However, we are short on instruments to keep the little hands busy! We currently have to improvise and would look forward to the real deal as far as instruments go. We recently played for contest and do the best we could with what we had.

My Project

The Orff instrument inventory we are building helps make it possible for all students to participate in music performance regardless of their mastery. The bass bar provides a foundation for all the melodies and harmonies layered above it.

Even the students who are shy or less talented enjoy coming forward to add their contribution to the final product.

Students chime in with the drones and ostinatos and learn to keep the beat and work together while being an integral part of the whole. Our last performance was enjoyed by all.
