Our school is full of wonderful students and staff! The students are hardworking, helpful and fun. Most importantly, the students are positive and respectful. Older students, during their recess time, even help the primary grades, skipping their own playground time to help set up and motivate them to try their best. Primary students love watching the big kids during PE and cheer them on. I’m in my first year at my school and couldn’t feel luckier to be with such a great group of students.
My Project
All grade levels participate in physical fitness stations for cardiovascular exercise. Students learn about the heart and why it is important to exercise. Music can help students push themselves to continue when tiring; ensuring a much needed workout during their break from sitting in the classroom. From playing “Baby Shark” to the latest Spider-Man soundtrack, students can enjoy school appropriate music during their physical education class. Students are also required to learn and perform a group dance routine. Updated speakers would be a great tool for fitness stations, dance as well as any other units where music can help motivate.
