My students are some of the most resilient children I've ever come across! We were in school ten days before we were hit by Hurricane Florence and were out a full FIVE weeks! Day one coming back they were full of smiles and hugs, ready to get down to work. They saw a community come together after a tragedy and are, themselves, always willing to step in and help. My students make me laugh and inspire me every day. They ARE why I teach.
My Project
My students have started to dive into music literacy and are having a blast! I have been extremely impressed with how well they comprehend, as a class, the concepts presented to them. They catch on quickly and will eventually get to a point of composing on their own!
These whiteboards are a great way for me to quickly assess individual students when it comes to music literacy.
It's also a great way for them to be able to share their own creations with the class and for the class to play what has been written. I am super excited to see what they come up with!
