My Students

My classroom consists of 18 second students with many different needs of their own. I have a very diverse group of students who come from different cultures, environments, and backgrounds. We are now in an age where children have more emotional and behavioral needs.

My class is full of many eager students, who love learning, however some of their needs are not being met due to this new error.

My students love many things typical second graders love. In my classroom, we love to dance, color, go outside, and tell stories. We especially have a love for all kinds of music! The students love to chat and interact with each other on a daily basis.

My Project

I am looking to get an iPod for my class. My class has a love for music this year so we are constantly listening to music throughout the day from classical music to movie soundtracks to everyday classics. We love to sing along and dance. Music has been a huge motivator to help us to stay focused and to get our work done.

In our class, we usually play songs from youtube, however we have to constantly change videos and as a teacher, I have to monitor the commercials that come up to make sure they are appropriate for second graders.

This Ipod will allow us to be able to play our favorite songs throughout the day without having to worry about commercials and changing songs.
