My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life. They are ready to learn and excited for what the day has in store for them. I want my students to know and believe that they can do anything.

I teach at a Title I school in Tennessee where all of our students receive free breakfast and a large percentage of free lunch.

I want my students to have the tools to help them be successful in our classroom.

My Project

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn rhyme, rhythm, directionality, and sounds...the benefits are endless!

We begin our days with morning songs, use songs for transitions, learn skills through music and say good-bye at the end of the day with music.

Our current speaker is on its last leg and the built-in speaker of our Chromebooks just doesn't cut it. Please help us keep the beat going in our room with a new speaker!
