This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember a song you could not get our of your head? As we work through the day, sometimes my students can not get some songs out of our heads, like "Who let the letters out? Who? Who? Who? Who? Who?"

We are an urban school that is struggling in keeping up with technology.

We are a Title I school in which 90% of my classroom students received free or reduced lunch. My students are music hungry since our CD player died, and our a Capella singing is just no longer enough.

My Project

I have a very creative set of students who are able to come up with songs by using old tunes. We have re-done the ABC song, we have spelling songs for high frequency words, among some. I have been able to record their new songs with a camera and I have created an MP3 song, but we do not have a way to play it back in the classroom since our CD/MP3 passed away.

We would like to thank you beforehand because by choosing our project, you will bring music back to our lives when it matters most, during our day learning.

My kindergarteners and I will be forever grateful for your generosity.
