This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a Title I school in North Carolina and many of my students are at risk of academic failure. This is many of my students' first time in a school setting. The early learners in my class are more interested in the process of discovering and manipulating materials than the final products of their experiments.
Learning experiences are meaningful and relevant for every child and reflect his or her developmental, cultural, and individual circumstances.
My students love to move and be active. However, because of recent budget cuts, we are unable to purchase additional resources such as the ones requested.
My Project
My students like to listen to learning songs during whole group and free choice centers. The listening center will be updated with brand new CD’s to help my students to listen to ABCs, shapes, and number songs on CD's. This center is essential for auditory and visual learners. The listening center has an All-In-One CD player with Bluetooth and Listening Center Headphones, but we need the Learning Basic Skills Through Music Vol. I, Greg & Steve Productions YM-001CD Greg & Steve: We All Live Together Vol. 1, 2, and 3, also CD All Time Favorite Dances.
The goal for this project is for our students to learn that there different methods to learning and we want them to be expose to this.
The only this can be accomplish is if you donate. Please help by donating to this project so we can have an updated listening and technology center. It will be the perfect addition for our classroom environment.
