Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are some of the best students you could ask for. They are all members of the middle school band/orchestra program and LOVE what they do. Most of them qualify for free and reduced-price lunches.

They work really hard and produce superior results.

This past school year was the first year the concert band (in school history) received a "Superior" rating at the county concert band assessment! The students are high achievers and I couldn't ask for anything else.

Most of these students have been playing music since elementary school and really enjoy their musical experiences.

My Project

The ink for our printer had a really good run. It has lasted almost two school years. The ink for the printer was able to provide help to beginners that were starting to learn their first five notes. It also helps make the necessary copies for important documents that need to be sent home to parents. It also helps prepare students by getting them their solo and ensemble, honors band/orchestra and VPA audition music.

These students are some of the best students in the school.

They work really hard and receive many compliments. Both the band and orchestra programs are reaching new levels, and I couldn't be more proud of each and every one of them. Our school is in an urban area, and a lot of the students don't get to see the world around them.
