Keeping the beat to a fun alphabet song can have even the most reserved learners singing along.
Most any early learning concept can be supplemented through music and instrumental exploration. Our preschool kids love engaging in new concepts using instruments and music. We would love the opportunity to extend our traditional music experience to include diatonic bells and boomwhackers to increase exposure of literacy and cognitive skills within music as we read notes and follow colors.
My Project
We've found a way to motivate even the most reserved and disengaged preschoolers. The use of instruments has helped us engage students at a level unparalleled by other manipulatives or resources.
Instruments like Boomwhackers and diatonic bells will help us teach so much more than music as students engage in learning letter names, tapping out syllables, and breaking words down through the engaging use of these fun instruments.
Differentiation can be taken to a new level using a medium that not only is fun, but connects visual, auditory and tactile learning in one place. We are confident we could increase learning if our classroom had access to these wonderful resources!
