My students need art supplies such as watercolor paper and watercolor pastels and brushes, because they are learning how to do basic drawing and our school cannot afford the supplies.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students go to a school where the majority of the students are English learners. They are able to use art to express themselves visually, and then verbally.
My students are Sixth Graders.
Our school has a visual and performing arts focus now and we are trying to use creativity to activate the students' imagination. The use of watercolors will introduce them to new art medium. The experience will awaken their appreciation of color, texture, and style.
My students need art supplies such as watercolor paper and watercolor pastels and brushes, because they are learning how to do basic drawing and our school cannot afford the supplies. These materials will help them to improve in all of their core academic subjects. They will be able to apply their drawing techniques to all of their studies which will help them connect to the content of each class. School will have more meaning for them.
My students have been denied creative outlets because the emphasis has been on reading and math.
The arts are necessary for the whole child, however. The arts will help the students to truly become higher functioning members of the 21st century.
