My Students

My special needs students are between the ages of 11-16 years old. They live the the Appalachian region. They are a fun, hard working group of diverse children.

Using specialized markers, I am creating a mathematical word wall with visual examples on our classroom windows.

Part of our standard course of study is to learn mathematical vocabulary . My goal is to increase student's vocabulary and academic skills with words and examples written on our windows using erasable window markers.

My Project

Students of special needs require multisensory learning strategies to acquire math skills. They can use window paints and Cosco window markers to demonstrate number sense. They will be able to apply what they have learned with the window paints and markers to math skills.

My students have poor math skills, so they need a variety of methods such as window paints and window markers to explore the world of mathematics.

Your donation will literally provide them the tools to complete their work, and you will be helping them acquire new skills.

We will use the donated paints and markers on a daily basis.
