My Students

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple" Dr. Seuss. Why? How do you know? My students need to develop a deeper understanding of basic math skills and number sense through hands-on math manipulatives and activities.

My students are fun-filled and eager to learn!

Each student works at a different pace and has a different learning style, but they all have one thing in common - they love math! Each day we are increasing the rigor and developing independent, critical thinkers.

My Project

My students need upper grade math activity stations for mastering basic skills. Upper grade math activity stations let students build skills independently. As they solve perimeter riddles, go on a deep-sea shape dives, and embark on multiplication safaris they will be engaged while building the number sense and basic math skills that are critical for their academic success. Students work at their own pace to boost these essential math skills.

My classroom consists of 30 plus students that come from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill levels.

Having centers available for my students will allow me to work with small groups to better meet their needs. It will create confidence and independence that will follow them throughout their academic journey.
