Third grade is a year of amazing growth for students. Students work diligently on learning their multiplication facts, writing detailed stories, and working on reading skills. All of this could not be possible without the support of community members and parents.
My class of 23 students is filled with many different personalities and backgrounds.
I have students of different cultures, as well as different beliefs. Our school is made up of 360 students (25% of whom receive free or reduced-price lunch) who try to embody our three major school rules of being respectful, responsible, and safe. Every day teachers encourage students to dream, believe, think, and achieve.
My Project
My students need math games to practice their multiplication and division facts. These math games will help students practice basic math skills and gain fluency on their multiplication and division facts.
Multiplication and Division is brand new for third grade.
For many students it is a challenge to learn a whole new set of math facts. These games will provide students a fun way to practice with a partner or small group and will be utilized multiple times a day. My hope is that students will enjoy playing the games so much that they will forget that they are working on building fluency in multiplication and division!
