Help me give my students a wireless microphone system, a tripod mount, two monitors, and wireless display adapters.
This project expired on June 30, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My class is made up of 27 third graders. They are a hardworking group of amazing young ladies and gentlemen, sponges, eagerly soaking up all they can during our school day.
Our school is a Title I school in Southern California.
82% of students are receiving free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch, and many are English Language Learners. Our campus is ethnically diverse, and students are working hard to overcome poverty and become fluent in the English language. They are amazingly resilient tiny people who want to be successful in life.
My 21st century learners are very engaged when demonstrating their knowledge through multimedia projects. Our classroom projects provide the opportunity for students to use their collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity skills while also addressing the required content standards.
This project will help transform my classroom into a more collaborative work space.
The two monitors and two of the wireless display adapters will allow students to mirror one tablet screen onto a larger display. This allows group member collaboration to be more efficient. The third wireless display adapter will connect to my classroom projector, which will allow students to utilize that as a display option as well. This method of display work being done on one device with other group members increases engagement and student accountability as "I can't see" becomes an invalid reason to not assist teammates.
Multimedia projects will be taken to the next level with proper recording equipment. The lavaliere microphone, tripod, and tablet mount give students the opportunity to put a more professional touch on their productions.
