My Project

My classroom is comprised of many unique individuals from diverse backgrounds. Many speak a language other than English at home.

Help me expand my classroom library with some bilingual English-Spanish books for my newcomer students.

Learning a second language while also learning grade-level content is incredibly challenging. These students are incredibly eager to learn and want to succeed. I want to be able to give them everything they need to be successful in their native language and English. We are in serious need of some reading books that are on their reading level. These books will allow students to practice the reading skills that we are learning and practicing in class. Having books that are accessible to students is a priority in our classroom. The more that students are able to practice reading books that are on their level, the quicker they will be able to become successful readers.
