My Project

There are many cultures underrepresented in children's literature. These books will allow students to be exposed to different cultures than their own and feel seen in the books we read in the classroom. Each book will be used to teach certain concepts and serve as the book of the month during the ten months school is in session.

When students see themselves in literature, they are more engaged and desire to read more!

These books will act as conversation starters each month on the intended topic. Each book will reiterate our character development program trait of the month as well.
