My students need to be introduced to multicultural instruments to expand their minds to the music of the world. They may never get the chance to explore the many different sounds of each instrument.
Our young sponges are the ages of 3-5 years. Our program is for low income families. Our children are learing how to socialize and intermix with each other. While also preparing them for a kindergarten setting.
We provide a great opporunity for our children to expand their minds and participate in hands on activities.
Our curriculmn changes with each season bringing out basic topics for them to focus on for lenghs 4-6 weeks. It keeps their inquisitive minds curious and open to new things.
My Project
Our students will have the opportunity to make and create their own sounds through the Multicultural Rhythm Set. Teaching them about the many different styles of music and rhythm. With us reciveing these different kits of instruments. It will help us introduce the children to the feel, sound and rhythm of each culture. Expecially with the Jamtown Around the World Pack.
Music is educatational in a sneaky way.
It introduces simple counting and patterns. The children exercise through repeditive movement to the many sounds of music. We are hoping to help encourage to spark a childs mind to the workd of music.
