My students are a vibrant bunch. Every morning they come to school enthusiastic about learning. They get excited to see each other, work together, and be successful.
The best part about my class is that they are all the best of friends.
They would do anything for one another. Whether it is helping with spelling a word, a math problem, or a friend problem, each and everyone will always have each other's back. If someone gets teased, they problem-solve together to make sure it doesn't happen again. Their willingness to accept each other and to always be friendly is inspiring.
My Project
We have a lot of books in our library, but they are OLD. The world has changed, and our classroom library has not been able to keep up! I want to keep students motivated and engaged by providing them with books that they are interested in.
We are lacking books that represent the different cultures in our classroom.
Students love to read stories that they can relate to and new books would help with that! We need new books for the library so students have new exciting options to choose from.
We will also be exploring book clubs at the end of the year, and I want students to be really excited about the books they have to choose from. The sets of books in this project have characters that represent many different cultures and experiences that students will be able to connect with.
