My students need a globe, a multicultural rug , a tumbler kit for our rock and mineral club and a storage place for classroom materials to keep the room organized.
My students are amazing because they are learning English as their second language and are very motivated to learn. They come from several countries around the world such as India, Pakistan, Yemen, Turkey, Honduras, Ghana, El Salvador, Mexico, and Nepal. They are very happy to be at my school and love to read and write in English. My students respect each other and we value cultural diversity in my classroom. My students are curious to explore the world and be the best they can be.
One of the ways my students learn best is by having visuals and real objects as well as hands-on learning.
Since my students are building their English vocabulary, the more concrete materials can be, the better they will remember the vocabulary.
My Project
My international students need to feel welcomed so a multicultural rug provides a visual and warm welcome atmosphere. This rug along with the globe will help my students locate their country of origin and then see where their classmates come from and how we are all part of the world. This cultural awareness is important to show stud ents that all people belong to the world and we should respect each other even though their country of origin is different from their classmates.
The Basic Rotary Tumble Kit will help my multicultural investigators learn about their favorite subject in our Rock and Mineral club-exploring rocks and minerals and be able to polish stones.
Finally, the 10 Drawer Mobile Organizer will help students put classroom materials in an organized way and keep our classroom looking organized and lovely. The fact that these drawers come in different colors adds up to the concept of all colors of the world are special.
