My Project

I teach a fantastic group of first-grade students in a TITLE 1 school district. I teach a wide variety of students with a wide variety of different educational needs.

My students love to do art and but unfortunately, due to funding cuts in NM, an art teacher is not provided for my grade level.

Any art that the students get is done by the classroom teacher. This means that I also financially fund these projects.

I try to fit in an art project every week, and students often draw pictures of their family members. We currently have two boxes of multicultural crayons that we are sharing as a class. It would be amazing to provide each student with their own box of crayons and painting supplies they can share.
