My classroom supports children in grades k-5. I teach self-contained reading and phonics instruction. My students are active and enthusiastic about everything they do. They require lots of movement. My students need to be taught the same concept in several different ways to fully grasp what is being taught. In my classroom, we do this through multi-sensory instruction. We are very hands-on with our learning. Though they may struggle at times, these kids are the hardest working kids I know. They don't give up easily and they want to learn. Please help me give my students all the resources that they need to be successful.
My Project
We all know that READING is the key to success! My goal for these materials is to have each child leave my classroom knowing how to read. The confidence and opportunities that arise from learning to read are priceless! With all the new innovations in education, I need to keep my students up to date with the latest advancements to spark interest in reading. One of these new advancements is multi-sensory activities. With writing tablets, letter stamps, and tactile letter cards my students will begin to enjoy writing and building new words. Students will be able to use the sensory beads, letter bean bag sets, alphabet dough stampers, and reading games during small group instruction and independent station time. Help me take my students into the new innovation of learning!
