Multi-Sensory Learning with a Comfy Learning Space
Help me give my students students with learning challenges, flexible seating by Comfy Sack, to help meet their learning needs. Comfy Sack bean bags are durable and will last longer.
I teach in a high poverty school. We have a high percentage of students on free and reduced lunch. We have federal programs in place to ensure our children are not hungry and have many programs designed to ensure there is food for weekend meals.
I teacher in a diverse school with wonderful students that have many different needs.
As we approach the beginning of the school year I need to prepare for the variety of learning styles I will have coming in the fall. I have students with behavior issues due to family choices that have had an adverse effect on their children. I will have children with special needs such as autism that will require special learning tools, and I will have students that need the general equipment to ensure a successful year of growth.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Providing students with the opportunity to choose gives them a sense of control in a world that so many have not control. Currently my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different tables, sitting under tables with clip boards, or sitting or laying on the floor with a clip board. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating.
Students are more engaged when they are feel their environment is Comfy and secure.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make better effective learning choices. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The comfy beanbag chair will allow for additional comfortable seating options. They are lightweight and and very durable and can be used in many areas of the classroom.
I have witnessed how choice can positively affect a students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help my students grow even more!
