My students need math manipulatives to help them solve math problems using hands-on learning.

My Students

I am very fortunate to have 19 wonderful second graders to teach this year. They are eager to learn and work as a team as we begin our year together.

My students are respectful, responsible, and ready to learn in a positive environment.

I have several students with special needs that require more small group and one-on-one learning. It will be a fantastic year of working as a team.

Our K-2 primary school is a great environment for our young learners to work together to use their imaginations.

My Project

When my students use linking cubes, magnetic tens frames, and numbers tiles, they are able to see and touch our second-grade math standards, which gives them a concrete way of learning. These math tools will benefit struggling learners that need that extra help to see math problems in a concrete way.

Young minds are able to connect to math when they can manipulate the numbers and see examples of math problems.

I love seeing lightbulbs go off when my students finally "get it" using math manipulatives! I can't wait to see their faces when we receive these fun hands-on learning tools for our classroom!
