My Project

As a math teacher, calculators are an incredibly important tool for student success, especially students who have specific learning needs when it comes to numeracy and mathematics. I am also in the process of converting my classroom model to the thinking classrooms model where students explore and discover math concepts on vertical erasable surfaces. This promotes a learning environment where it is safe to make mistakes in the learning process and holds students accountable for their own individual learning. Expo markers and erasers are a vital tool to support this model. The erasable board on wheels is also a tool that I plan to use for this model and to support student learning.
