Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my first year of teaching, and I am extremely excited! But I cannot afford to make my classroom as perfect as my students deserve. My students are primarily from minority groups and around 98% qualify for free and reduced lunch. Students learn in so many different ways, so my goal is to reach each of my students in whatever way works best for them. Some work better with visuals, while others need to change seats often and write down their thoughts.
My Project
My project includes learning tools like clipboards, dry-erase tools, Plickers technology that makes it easier to assess students, and standard pencils for my student to get started. Dry erase and clipboards will be helpful to all students, but especially those who may need to love around the room to focus on the material. Plickers makes it so much more efficient for me to assess where my student struggle on a daily basis. And who can succeed without a good sharp pencil? These tools will benefit my students in more ways than one, and they are all helpful to me as well.
