My Students
I am a Special Education, self-contained teacher for fifth through eighth graders. My students are enthusiastic, creative and curious in everything that they do. As students from Baltimore City, many of the supplies and resources that they need are supplied by teachers and administrators. In order for them to succeed, they require the best of the best.
My students are a unique group that is full of potential and motivation to be excellent students.
As a new teacher with my first classroom, I am determined to provide an environment for my students that encourages learning and development in mathematics and science.
My Project
As a first time teacher, I want to provide an environment for my students so they can have the materials they need to succeed. As students with special needs, they need a little extra sensitivity to their sensory and emotional needs. All of my students require different needs and I would like to accommodate all of them to the best of my ability.
Some of my students have sensory needs that require extra materials such as fluorescent light filters and chair and desk socks to prevent bright lights and loud sounds from disturbing their learning.
I want to make sure I am accommodating my students' needs so that they will present their best work in the classroom everyday.
