My Students

Remember listening to your favorite story over and over again as a child. I want to give my kindergarteners this same opportunity during literacy stations by using iPod Nanos.

This is my first year of teaching and I want to provide my students with learning resources that will help them become life-long readers!

My school is a Title I school and many of the students qualify for free and reduced lunch. My students are kind and caring individuals who are eager to learn. Many of my students come from low-income homes and may not always have the resources at home to read or listen to their favorite stories.

My Project

My students will be able to pick a story to listen to and follow along with a book. While listening to their favorite story students are hearing great readers read. This will encourage my students to read with fluency and expression. The more we let students listen to great readers read the more likely they are to become great readers themselves. My students will be able to independently pick a story to listen to while I am working with other students.

The donation of two iPod Nanos will give my students the opportunity to hear great readers read while I am working with other students.

This will help my students to become life-long readers!
