Our vibrant and unique 8th graders aim every day to show up as their best, authentic selves. With a focus to achieve, succeed, and build community amongst one another, our students work extremely hard to be more than what is perceived.
As educators, we strive to not only educate our students on academics but we push our students to have hopes and dreams.
It is because of this, our students are able to believe that anything is possible. With this philosophy, these scholars have dreams of being the next doctors, lawyers, and even future lawmakers. As they continue to prepare for their next steps into high school, they are constantly thinking about future endeavors and goals they want to accomplish to make these next steps possible.
It's a pleasure to host spaces that allow for these young idealist to develop and grow and continue to aim for success.
My Project
These materials allow for my students to take a more artistic approach to complete assignments. It allows them to really tap into the potential they are working to discovering from expression through paint to critically analyzing scientific equations using protractors and outlines. It lets our students also see a different approach to doing projects besides the basic pen to paper method.
The materials will allow me to further think of projects for our students to do other than just worksheets, videos and reading material which will in turn allow for them to think of more ways learning can be fun.
