Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bilingual and bicultural rockstars who are learning to be lifelong leaders. They thrive learning hands on and in an interactive way. Learning has become enjoyable and memorable for each of them. They are excited to explore this year.

My Project

COVID-19 hit many of our students academically. They were out of the classroom doing online learning for an extended period of time. Many of my students do not have access to books at home and so their reading development was greatly impacted during this time period. Now that we are back in a classroom setting, I want to be able to provided to my students an extensive library so that there are no limitations to their overall reading fluency development and reading comprehension skills. Having access to a leveled library and a variety of books will allow the students to grow substantially during their time in this classroom.
