This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
These students are participating in the ACE Magnet Program within our school. ACE stands for Academy for Civic Engagement. They will have a specific focus on service learning, government, and improving their local community.
In my classroom the students will be encouraged to think creatively and collaborate with their peers.
I plan to provide students with all of the materials that they need to succeed. When my students feel as though they have everything they need in the classroom, they will be able to focus on their learning.
My Project
This project will significantly help my students succeed by providing them with the materials they need in the classroom. Learning to think creatively and independently helps students to thrive once they leave the classroom.
I am requesting book bins so that every student can have their own set of leveled books to read.These book bins offer an organized solution messy libraries and offer little time for confusion during reading time.
I have also requested an assortment of games to play during ELA workshop time. I would like to encourage a fun and exciting learning environment and these games will help my students succeed.
I have also requested some basic art materials for the classroom, so that the children will be able to think creatively with all the materials that they need to be successful in the classroom.
