I teach kindergarten through second grade RTI classes. I will say all of the grades even being so close are SO different from each other! And many different levels of intelligence coming with being an RTI teacher. Like my kindergartners for example some are still needed help with letter sounds and some are way past that and working on blends and digraphs. But all are so smart and they try so hard.
My first graders are all just about in the same area as each other.
right now we are working on reading and getting AR points but some are still stuck on reading... and not knowing some words from others. But just like my kindergartners they are so smart and try so hard. Same with my second graders! they are all very smart and try so hard.
But I've come to learn this year that mostly all of my students are hands on. They learn so much more and so much better when they are about to see and touch whatever it is they are learning and I want to be able to provide them with the best education they can get!
My Project
My students and I focus a lot on reading and I'm trying so hard to get a classroom library going for them. Being a first year teacher is so hard and expensive but I am trying my hardest to do what I need to to shape my students to be the best they can be. And to teach them in every way possible.
My students love reading time and are working on AR points so these books would help out so very much in my classroom.
They have been begging me to go get new book but I just cant afford them at the moment.
