Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are unique in their own way. Some of them are very capable while others struggle academically. I also have students who are average but hard working students. I am a Social Studies and Reading teacher. I would like to receive instructional materials that would assist in providing meaningful and creative lessons in both Reading and Social Studies.

My Project

The have received a personal Chromebook. Each school year the students are assigned a Chromebook issued by the school district. These devices can be used in the classroom and at home. In my class, all of their assignments are uploaded on this device using the Verge platform. The headphones in this project will allow each student to personalize their learning by being able to listen to the assigned lessons. All of the lessons include lesson videos, worksheets, graphic organizers, quizzes and more. The following digital programs used in my classroom include: Brain Wrinkles, Brain Pop and many others.
