My Students

Nestled right in the heart of of our city, more than half of our student population are low income families. These students have limited or no computers or internet at home to fully access the curriculum need for success. Having these tools students will have the same opportunity as their peers. Students will be able to work in small groups and in tutoring by logging into the curriculum and standards for the week. All students should have the same resources available to them.

My Project

Not all students have access to the internet or a computer. With these Chromebooks and headphones, all students will have the opportunity to access the web content for the ELA curriculum as well as many other educational games. The students will use during small group activities as well as during tutoring before or after school. They will also be able to access to complete research based projects. The supplies will also help prepare the upcoming 3rd graders for successful test taking by using and completing typing programs and paragraph writing. They will be able to construct and publish their own stories to share with friends and family.
