My Students

Can you imagine not being able to take care of yourself because you don't know basic daily living skills? How about personal social skills? My students will benefit by learning to develop basic to hard decision-making skills, to be productive young adults in our communities.

My students attend a rural high school and are proud to be learning each day how to take care of themselves and others around them.

They are asked to set goals, take responsibility for not only themselves but the people around them now and others they will encounter in their future.

My Project

I have been working with CDB students for 12 years now and, as we all know, things are a changing! Many of the requested supplies will benefit the students with updated materials to learn math to include banking, cooking and shopping. Some of the students will benefit by the picture book of social skills and reinforce even the students who can read better. The rest of the materials I want will be put to use for many years of teaching these special students.

By choosing my project you will be supporting a need for students who want to learn and be productive in our community and world.

Some, not all, are "at risk" students and surely need all the skills to function successfully.
