My students need the opportunity to build experiences and imagination through the rich vocabulary of J.K. Rowling. These crafting items will also help the magical world become a reality as we make wands and create potions!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Teaching students in my school may often seem, to others, like an uphill battle. I see these students as an opportunity to help shape the future.
These students are as far into the future as we can see.
As the second highest poverty rate school in my county {99% qualify for free or reduced breakfast/lunch} , it is filled with students who may not see their own talents and contributions to the world.
I attempt to be a teacher that shows students they can achieve whatever they put their minds to.
My Project
The items listed will help the students in my Reading club truly experience J.K. Rowling's wondrous, wizarding world. The requested text, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, will be the student's to keep! We will dig into the text and brew potions, play Quidditch, drink pumpkin juice and much more!
I will be imagining with 25 witches/wizards who have chosen to attend the Gainesville campus of Hogwarts.
My school has an in-school activity of the student's choosing that allows for this amazing opportunity. These supplies would allow the students to make, and decorate, their own wands to cast spells. I will also use the gorgeous illustrated book to show the students as we read.
