Help me give my students glow game supplies. Students will be able to work on skills by engaging in activities and lessons that are highly engaging while learning needed skills.
My students are eager learners that enjoy coming to school every day. They are excited to learn and love new class activities. We are always working on hands-on learning activities and projects, and my students are enthusiastic about learning and exploring. We are working on developing a love for reading and writing by providing them with fun and unique ways to learn.
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

Glow games are an exciting way to get the students learning in a new way.
Games in the classroom are a powerful way to get our students excited about learning.
However, games can easily become just that...excitement without any academic content and mastery actually happening. The bottom line is this, if the excitement isn't matched with rigorous content, then fun = check/learning = not so much!
Ways to enhance our instruction without losing powerful learning opportunities:
1) No turns/no outs: All students are accountable to answer every single question independently. This ensures that each student is not having the fun until they put in the work.
When students are given the opportunity to get "out", they often will do this when they are tired of working or would rather just sit. Every student is always a part of the game, and that they are accountable for their learning.
2) Next level gaming: Games don't simply focus on memorization, but rather that they emphasize the application of a skill. They receive opportunities to be able to use the terms to create and analyze.
This will create student engagement mixed with powerful learning and application.
