My students need iPads so that they can use them to work on apps that are beneficial to their phonics instruction. They will also be able to take Accelerated Reader tests.

My Students

My students walk into my classroom every day full of energy and are eager to learn. I teach in an inclusion classroom and have students who have sensory issues as well as learning disabilities.

Our school has a diverse population of children.

Our students are from rural areas in our county. Fifty-seven percent of our students receive free or reduced rate lunch.

Lots of support is given to my students in the classroom. We have a full time assistant and a special education teacher that is in our room throughout the day.

My Project

My students with sensory disabilities will benefit from being able to work on apps and websites while sitting away from the rest of the class. This will take away many of the distractions that are present when working at a table with other students. They would be able to focus all of their attention on their learning instead of the other things going on in the classroom.

Your donation towards my project would help in many different aspects.

The students would be able to focus and in turn it would help with behavior issues. Since iPads are interactive, my students would be able to interact with a level of technology that we do not currently have in our classroom.
