Help me give my students a class subscription for Scholastic News (grade 3 edition), a magazine that connects current events to the third-grade curriculum while helping students practice their reading skills and enhancing our learning experience.
My 3rd-grade students are eager learners that come to school to learn. They enjoy movement and hands-on activities. My students love to read and create magazines. My energetic 3rd graders enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore. Scholastic News would be the perfect resource for our classroom.
"You can find magic wherever you look.
Sit back and relax, all you need is a book" Dr. Suess. My students love to come to school and be part of our class community. They are curious and hardworking and most of all, they love learning.
Unfortunately, many students in our class cannot afford to purchase Scholastic News on their own, so the support of donors in making this project possible is greatly appreciated by both the students and teachers. This magazine will enhance our learning experience by giving us an interesting resource to get students excited about learning. We will read some articles as a class and engage in collaborative discussions, using rigorous questions as prompts. Students will also have an opportunity to review the material independently or in partnerships. I want to foster my students' love of learning.
Scholastic News will help keep students excited about reading nonfiction articles as well as keep them up to date with current events.
