This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarteners need help with Social Emotional Learning skills. They are ELL learners from many different countries. They have difficulty expressing themselves verbally in English. They often forget to use words not hands. It is hard for them and they get frustrated and upset. I would love to try new strategies and have the resources or manipulatives for my class. They would benefit from some tools to help create a calming environment. This project would give me the help I need to provide ways to control behavior and get along better. This would also give them valuable life skills for coping. I have been teaching for 27 years and children are struggling with social emotional issues more than ever! I would love to find new methods for the little ones. A valuable life lesson. Thank you for considering my class!
