My students are amazingly talented and exceptionally inquisitive. They are eager to arrive everyday to our virtual classroom. They really get a kick out of all the new technology used in virtual learning. It is a goal of mine to engage them in real-world experiences and help them to discover the world around them through communication and language.
My Project
Students need a variety of fresh and exciting literature in which to develop a love of reading and to further develop their communication skills. This project's success will enable my students the ability to self-select grade appropriate, challenging reading materials and media for years to come.
Children crave diversity and structure and reading a variety of literature provides this much needed life-skill.
My students will benefit greatly from having resources at their fingertips to encourage daily habits that will last a lifetime. The ability to choose from a multitude of different books, books on tape, magazines, reading center activities, and language learning games leads to skills development in reading that allows them to build a strong foundation in communication.
