My Students

Teaching the Gifted and Talented is an amazing job that I am honored to do. Being a novice Gifted teacher, I do not have many of the supplies that my students require to explore their world through in-class assignments and projects. Together, we can challenge students to go above and beyond!

They are the coolest, the most unique, and the most creative individuals!

I teach 3rd Grade Gifted classes at a school that receives no Title I funding. Therefore, we have to rely on grant money and yearly allocation to buy our supplies.

In Gifted Education, there are a lot of much needed supplies for lessons! Many students at my school have limited exposure to outside resources such as museums, public libraries, educational excursions, and exposure to different cultures. My students want to learn and any activity that challenges them is encouraged.

My Project

Our class needs books to learn Latin! My students this year will be learning basic Latin. My students, parents, and I are so excited to learn the Latin language and culture of Roman Britain this year. However, we have no books or materials for third graders in that subject.

In addition, the books will be very helpful when learning about Ancient Civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome.

The books we are requesting are not consumables and therefore can be put to good use by not only my current third grade students but for other students in the future years to come.
