My students need manipulatives to be engaged in hands-on learning.
I remember the first day I met my students, and I was impressed with the parent involvement in my school. This is a great advantage for me to start the school year!
I have thirty students from four to five years old in my Kindergarten class; they are sharp and eager to learn every day.
They are smart and like to work hard with manipulatives to improve their long-life skills. They are attending an "A" school in Arizona in spite of their low-income background.
In the Math Center, I will have concrete shapes with different colors. This will help them learn shapes and colors. Later, we can use the same manipulatives to create patterns like AB, ABB, ABC, and so forth. In the Phonics Center I will have Upper Case and Lower Case letters to help them with beginning sounds, identifying letters and making words.
My students are counting on your donations to succeed in life.
You could be part of this effort and make my kids' dreams a reality. I am also eager to help them. My husband and I have sponsored my students with books and materials from thrift stores because this is my first year teaching in Arizona. I as a teacher encourage my students to read all the time.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
